IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE...

Tue Sep 1, 2009, 7:42 AM
  • Mood: Content
  • Listening to: Miles Davis - Cool Jazz
  • Reading: Mircea Cartarescu - Orbitor
  • Watching: my laptop's screen, of course :P
  • Playing: with my red nails :P
  • Eating: nothing... I need a cookie :)
  • Drinking: 7UP... but I keep thinking about Sangria :))
So... I'm updating for the sake of updating... But, at the same time, I came across a game I thought will be funny...and it was :giggle: Here it is...

(the rules are from the site I found it on...)
IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?

So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc).
2. Put it on shuffle.
3. Press play.
4. For every question, type the song that's playing.
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button.
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool.

Now...Here is the soundtrack to my life:

Opening credits:
Lenka - The Show (oh, yeah :w00t: love this song… it's a happy song :giggle:)

Waking up:
Linkin Park - Leave out all the rest
(it’s a rather jumpy song… “don’t hate me because I disagree”… yeah I am usually like that when I wake up  )

First day of school:
Nat King Cole - I’m in the mood for love
(now, it depends on which first day of school it was, right? I’m thinking highschool, cuz I wasn’t in THAT mood when I was 7 :giggle: )

Falling in love:
Carter Burwell - The lion fell in love with the lamb
(now, I reaaaally didn’t cheat!!! it’s a nice instrumental, of course, but the title says it all )

Fight song:
Sia - Butterflies
(haha, I guess I’m no longer a fighter :giggle: maybe it goes along with “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee” from Rocky  )

Breaking up:
Nickelback - Rockstar
(well… it is a little bit of a frustrated song, isn’t it? this line works : ”life hasn’t turned out quite the way I want it to be”… anyway, I love the song)

Prom:
Coldplay - Daylight
(quite a trance-y song, nice for swaying on the dance floor :giggle: )

life's just OK:
Greenday - Fashion Victim
(I swear I’m not  )

Mental breakdown:
The Fray - She is
(this is a somewhat sad song… it’s obvious the mental breakdown comes from a breakup, cuz it matches the lyrics… only the song is from His perspective.. doesn’t matter, it fits)

Driving:
Plain White T’s - Shine
(“I think you've had too much to drink, Can't even talk when you're this way”… haha, I guess I’m not driving  )

Flashback:
Coldplay - Green Eyes
(it’s about two people reuniting… it works for flashing memories…anyway, I LOVE the song)

Getting back together:
Evanescence - Whisper
(well, it’s a passionate song :D but it doesn’t really work… maybe as background music for before getting back together...)

Birth of child:
HIM - Rebel yell
(haha, yeah, giving birth deals with yells  plus, I’d like my kid to be a rebel :giggle: but these are the only lines that work with the situation : “Last night a little dancer came dancin to my door / Last night my little angel came pumpin on the floor”… )

Wedding:
Robert Pattinson - I’ll be your lover too
(oh dear…yes, perfect wedding song… “I will be your man…and I’ll understand…and I’ll do my best to take good care of you…You’ll be my queen…and I’ll be your king…and I’ll be your lover too”… yes, I want this to be my wedding song  )

Final battle:
Counting Crows - Accidentally in love
(hahahaha… I guess I reaaaally am not a fighter  “everybody’s after love”? hahahaha I’ll just kill them all with my love :giggle: )

Death scene:
Apocalyptica - Domination
(I’d go down with a bang…and there’d be a cello playing, cuz I just love ‘em… )

Funeral song:
The Verve Pipe - Colorful
( “The show is over close the story book / There will be no encore ( … ) We'll live in drama but we'll die in a comedy”… yeah, it works…half sad half happy… )

End credits:
Kings of Leon - Closer (oh how I love this song…it’s perfect to wrap up my movie life… )

So there it was...the soundtrack for my life's movie... I think it's nice, eclectic, just the way I am...

And sorry for flooding your watchlist with this rather useless post :giggle:

Lots of hugs for everyone :tighthug:

Silvia

PS: also, tomorrow I'm going to Cluj to apply for housing in the University's dorms... this just reminds me that I am only a month away from going to University...and I'll be a college student...and I'm happy :w00t:

I'm a little freak of a girl, really...and I like it that way :giggle:
I'm not your typical teen, in and out.
I have really white skin and I get burned easily. I hate the sun and the heat. I do NOT get tanned and I don't even want to. I think those tanning machines are human toasters.
I have dark hair, which I plan to dye red, 'cause I just adore redheads and I've always wanted to be one... I guess I want to turn into an Irish :giggle:
I love everything vintage and retro and I like quirky things too.
I listen to jazz instead of pop, and to rock ballads instead of house. I tend to get bored by repetitive sounds...
I want to learn how to play guitar real soon, 'cause I just love acoustic guitar songs...
I love everything creative and I'm like this miniature Renaissance man (or I aspire to be one): I write prose (really weird, perhaps overly intellectual prose) and essays, I take photos, I draw and paint, I am pretty crafty and I know how to use the hands my momma gave me :P
I like to cook and bake cookies and experiment with what I cook, but I usually don't have time for it... but it relaxes me...
I am pretty clumsy in the way that I always bang my arms on the door frames or hit obstacles with my feet and I sometimes trip, even though I don't fall...
I like to sing and dance around the house when I'm alone. I don't like being alone and usually talk to myself or the pets or the TV or the computer when I am alone. I don't talk to myself on the street, not out loud, only in my mind...
I like to watch people and I kinda learn their little quirks quickly. If I spend one week with someone, I'll kinda act like they do, from speech to actions.
I like to learn. I am not a book worm, but I am kinda geeky, I guess, 'cause I like to know as much as I can. I am also very curious, which is my curse.
I like foreign languages and want to learn Swedish as fast as possible and many more after that. I think I have an ear for it.
I like everything obscure and hidden and unknown by the general public. Stuff like little bookshops, small cafes, dark cinemas, pubs that look deserted from the outside, unknown artists or stuff like that just get my attention.
I like unusual, smart people. I hate stupidity in all its forms. I love meaningful conversations and people that can keep me on my toes.
I get bored easily and I always want to do something new.
I can't decide on important matters if I haven't analysed the situation from all sides.
I am a flawed person and I admit it.
I don't take compliments easily, but I do love it when someone sees me for who I am.
I like being the best and always fight for it. But I do have principles, very strong ones. I am a very fair person and fight for that as well.
I like to change things and stir things up where I go. I like making a difference.
I am terrified of speaking in public. I have these awful tremors, but I don't stutter. I shake violently though. This happens with speeches. If someone asks me a question, I'm just fine.
I am mean if I don't like something. I am sarcastic and ironic, sometimes too much. I annoy people, but I apologize if I know I crossed a line.
I cry when I get mad, and I raise my voice, but I calm down after and then I'm back to normal.
I cry while reading or watching a film. And I don't care if someone sees me.
I am a hopeless romantic and I can't wait for someone just like me. I am sucker for little gestures that make someone's day. I am a sucker for love, and I like it that way.
I like helping people and sometimes people take advantage of me because of that. I need to learn to be more careful.
I will always defend my family and friends and even people from the street if someone wants to hurt them in any way. I am not the passive kind. If someone comes after me, I will kick and punch and bite and whatever helps. Be warned :P
I like to talk. That at least is obvious.
And, as Walt Whitman said, "I AM LARGE, I CONTAIN MULTITUDES" ...
